Description

Always wanted to learn to rock the ukulele, but never knew where to begin?  WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED!!!!

The UKULELE GURU is coming to Byron for one day only to run a Workshop for anyone wanting to learn to play the ukulele!  John Miner (www.john-miner.com) has been teaching Guitar, Banjo & Ukulele for over 50 years, and his easy going, fun lessons will have everyone playing songs within an hour.  Go from uke dud to stud, in no time :)

We’ll cover things like finger picking, strumming and basic chords! It’s all easier than you think with some proper guidance! We’ll have you playing a sweet song, faster than you can spell u-k-u-l-e-l-e...

Even experienced players will benefit from the Workshop.

John Miner...

John learned the ukulele from his father as a child in 1958, he then started playing banjo in 1969 changing to (mainly) acoustic guitar in 1970.

In 1974 he opened The North Shore Piano and Music Centre in Crows Nest (Sydney) where he learned
the finer points of repairing pianos & stringed instruments.

The North Shore Piano and Music Centre also had a large music school where John taught Guitar and Banjo.

He sold the business in 1980 & moved to Cairns in North Queensland where he continued to deal in pianos, guitars and banjos.
