An afternoon of Cut and Paste
With Sydney Collage Society
Welcome to An afternoon of Cut and Paste- an introduction into making analog collages, run by the Sydney Collage Society! The three hour afternoon workshop will provide you with the practical skills and techniques used to make analog collages.
Students will learn about specific types of collage, using colour, texture, form and image placement. We'll give you tips to look out for when sourcing materials and glueing work will also be discussed. By the end of the class, students will have completed various collages in different styles.
You'll have 3 hours to run wild, be wickedly creative, and make as many badass collages as your heart desires.
A glass of red wine will be supplied by Cake Wines, but feel free to BYO if you'd like a little more!
The Sydney Collage Society is a creative pool of cut and paste artists based in Sydney. Founded in 2015, by Kubi Vasak (Kubism_) and Leah Early (LA Early), the SCS is here to push the boundaries of cut-and-paste with a focus on celebrating the collage community of Sydney and abroad.
With numerous shows under their belts, including workshops with the Art Gallery of NSW and The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in 2018, the SCS is here to represent and share their love of collage!
